Popcorn is a snack that has been enjoyed around the world for centuries. It’s one of the oldest foods in history, and yet it’s still wildly popular today. What most people don’t know about popcorn is that there are different varieties out there – from traditional yellow kernels to savory white mushrooms. And now, more than ever before, people are going for Peacock (mushroom) popcorn!

With its delicious flavor, ease of preparation and wide availability, it’s no wonder that more and more people are going for it. Whether you’re interested in making a meal or just looking for a snack that your family will love, Peacock popcorn is an excellent choice.

Peacock Popcorn is not like any other popcorn you’ve ever tried. For starters, it has a high popping rate, so you know that when you’re eating it, there’s no doubt that it’ll be delicious. The popcorn also has no hulls, so you don’t have to worry about chipping your tooth on anything as you munch away at this tasty treat.

Peacock Popcorn is also vegan and gluten free! This means that if you have special dietary needs or restrictions (such as those who are allergic to nuts), this brand of popcorn will work for you. Whoever gets their hands on some Peacock Popcorn—whether they’re vegetarian or vegan—they can rest assured that they’ll enjoy every bite without worrying.

Peacock Popcorn has a high popping rate, meaning it pops up quickly and easily. This means you don’t have to wait for it to pop, which can be a real hassle when you’re hungry for popcorn. It’s also easy to pop the Peacock Popcorn in a pan or microwave—no special equipment necessary! And since Peacock Popcorn pops up so fast, you can make large batches of popcorn at once.

Peacock Popcorn is currently available in all supermarkets throughout Malawi. You can also have it delivered to you if you order large quantities.

It is possible to pop popcorn on the stovetop in a large pan, but it takes a little longer than popping in an air popper or microwave. Peacock popcorn takes about 5 minutes on the stovetop.

1/4 cup (60 grams) of Peacock Popcorn kernels (about 16 kernels)

1 tablespoon (14 grams) of vegetable oil, ghee, or coconut oil

Pop your corn according to one of these methods:

  • Place a large pot over high heat and add the oil. The oil should just cover the bottom of the pan. Heat the oil until it’s rippling but not smoking, then add the popcorn kernels and shake the pot so the kernels form a single layer on the bottom.
  • Place the lid on the pan and immediately reduce the heat to medium. Once the kernels start popping, shake the pan every so often and listen to the pace of the popping: The kernels should pop rapid-fire and should continue as one long continuous burst. As soon as the popping slows to a few kernels at a time, turn off the heat. (If you find that your kernels are popping just a few at a time for a long time and aren’t picking up speed, take a peek and see if the kernels are getting too dark without opening: You might need to start again if they’re starting to burn. It’ll be worth the redo!)
  • Remove the lid and immediately add salt or other seasonings; tap the pot up and down to distribute the salt. Pour half the popcorn into a large serving bowl, then salt the remaining popcorn in the pan and add to the bowl.

You’ll be able to serve it with confidence, knowing that your guests will enjoy the popcorn and want more.

This is because it’s delicious, easy to eat and healthy. You can also feel good about treating your family and friends to something that is high quality and nutritious when they visit you at home or for get-togethers. Additionally, Peacock popcorn appeals especially to children because it looks great but tastes even better!

Finally, Peacock popcorn makes a great conversation starter—people love talking about food! If you have some on hand when guests come over (or if you are hosting a party), they will naturally ask questions about this unique snack—and then they’re sure to want some as well.
